Once you have decided on a suitable stallion and the method of covering, one of our vets can come to you to take the initial swabs and blood tests usually required before a mare goes to the stud (if a natural service), and also to scan her to ascertain when the optimal time for her to be bred will be. Our vets can continue to care for the mare post covering with pregnancy diagnoses, advice on vaccinations and foaling and later on, newborn foal checks.
Our team of experienced stud vets care for the boarding mares at some of the most prestigious studs in the area and we offer stud packages for owners of these mares wishing to take advantage of an easier, inclusive payment option.
Please look at the reproduction pages of our website for further information, or contact our team to discuss any queries you may have.
Bourton Vale hosted a client evening at the Adlestrop Village Hall on Wednesday 1st Novewmber. The evening was kindly sponsored by Boehringer Ingleheim and was a huge success; allowing attendees to meet the new members of our team and have an introduction to a variety of topics.
