Bourton Vale Equine Clinic are doing Free Zone Visits for routine procedures
Bourton Vale Equine Clinic will be doing free zone visits for routine procedures from the 1st November 2017. We will have five zones, with one zone being covered each day; please see maps for details.
Routine zone visits are:
- Routine dental work; manual teeth rasps, wolf teeth removal, maximum 2 sets per call
- Sedations for dentists, farriers and clipping
- Blood samples
- Mite injections
- Initial lameness exams
- Stitch removals
- Bandage changes
- Microchips and passport IDs
- Health checks; e.g. elderly pony MOTs
There will be a limited number of zone visits per day and they will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Clients whose accounts are up to date (i.e. not owing for more than 30 days) will be given preference. All clients will, however, be required to provide card details when booking in, as payment will be taken on the day of the visit.
The route that the vet will take will be planned to be the most geographically efficient and clients should therefore be available to fit in around their schedule. We will give a two hour time window the evening before the visit via phone call or text message. There must be one suitable person available to hold each horse, and all horses/ponies must be stabled/caught prior to the vet arriving so that they are ready and waiting for the vet to begin immediately.
All zone visits MUST be booked via reception on 01451 820137 before 12pm the day before the visit and MUST specify which procedure/s are required. Vets are unable to perform additional procedures on the day. Emergency visits will NOT be free zone visits.
